Jentink’s Duiker (Cephalophus jentinki) is an endangered species of antelope native to parts of the Ivory Coast, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. They inhabit dense rainforests where they consume the fruits, flowers, and leaves that fall from the treetops, as well as roots and stems. They also consume local crops, such as mangoes. These duikers are nocturnal animals who nestle in pairs during the day in thick vegetation. They are endangered with an estimated 3,500 remaining worldwide mainly due to habitat destruction and the bush meat market.
