I have a cool story.

Ok.

Back when my mom has just divorced my dad, my dad’s sister was going through this phase where she was obsessed with psychics. While it was out of character for her to associate with my mother, she hoped that a psychic would tell my mom that she should get back with my dad. So, my aunt told my mom that she was going to send this e-mail internet psychic her and my dad’s sign and see what would happen.

So, my mom’s a Pisces and my dad’s a Sagittarius. The psychic lady told my mom that her relationship with the Sag was troubled and yada yada, and that she had been trying to date around a bit to little avail mostly because she wasn’t ready for commitment, which was all true. And then the psychic said that my mom should “go with the Pisces”. Mom didn’t know any male Pisces, so she just took it as the psychic making a few predictable assumptions about a divorcée. Well, fast forward a few months and she’s on her first date with my step-dad and found out he was a Pisces. It was really casual and they had mutual friends there, including a woman my mom worked with and was close friends with, and who knew about the psychic. Well, my mom found out he was a Pisces so she and her friend kinda freaked out a bit. Obviously, they went and got married and stuff and my mom thought it was all really weird.

Well. Fast forward, like… nine years or something and my mom starts taking Zumba classes. At this class, she starts talking more with an old friend from high school and did a lot of catching up. Ends up she and her husband had been going through a separation at the time of my mom’s divorce, but they reconciled. During the separation, he had been on a few dates with my aunt. My aunt, however, isn’t bright and is also pretty dependent on men to make her feel worthwhile, so when mom’s friend’s husband told her about the reconciliation she wouldn’t back off. Mom’s friend then did something dirty. She sent her an e-mail posing as a psychic so that she could make fake readings that would steer my aunt away from her husband, including the reading about my mom and her current husband.
