The Indian peafowl (Pavo cristatus) is a Galliform of southeast Asia known for the brilliant plumage of the males used in displays. Not actually a tail, the large train of feathers are grown from the back and are supported by the short tail which is similar to that of females. Their brilliant, metallic colors are also not from any pigment, but instead the result of the microstructure of their feathers.
