To the Christians threatening atheist Jessica Ahlquist, a sixteen year-old girl, with physical harm and death so she has to go to school under police guard, and to the Muslims who beat up Alexander Aan and turned him in to the police where he was jailed in part for his own safety, I want to say thank you. No, not for tormenting innocent human beings. And had it been possible to stop you, rest assured I would have.

Behavior exactly like yours is what drove many of us to question our faith, and through your actions you’re driving more people away from ridiculous dogmas and non-existent deities by the day.

Nobody, no atheist, could possibly do as much damage to your religion as you do yourselves. Not even close. You’re atheist-making machines, and it’s that for which I thank you.
